I write.

I earned an MFA in fiction from Columbia University School of the Arts. My work has been honored with fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Sustainable Arts Foundation, the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation, and MacDowell.

I received the Editors' Award for the Best Non-Fiction for an essay that appeared in Columbia: A Magazine of Poetry and Prose and have also published in The Los Angeles Review, the New York Times, the New York Daily News, Thirteen Bridges Review, The Lindenwood Review, and others. I have work forthcoming from the Adirondack Review and was chosen by Writers Read to read a story for their Women and Music program at the City Winery.

In collaboration with choreographer Hilary Easton, I’ve written for performances of It’s All True at The Duke on 42nd Street, The Frost Palace at the Clark Studio Theater Lincoln Center, and The Snow Queen at St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery.

I’ve written two books for teachers and am currently working on a novel for middle school students.
