I have built my professional life around my love of reading and writing.

A freelance editor and writer for many years, I began teaching through a fellowship at the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project while getting my MFA from Columbia.

I am now a literacy consultant in the New York City public schools and in districts across the U.S. and abroad and continue to write and edit as a freelancer, specializing in the arts, medicine, and science.
